Ingredients

  • 1 cup Sabudana / Sago seeds
  • 1 tbsp Ghee
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 2-3 finely chopped Green chillies
  • Roasted Peanut powder
  • Salt to taste
  • A pinch of Sugar (Optional)
  • Finely chopped Coriander leaves

Sabudana Khichadi - Marathi Recipe

Instructions

  • Wash the sabudana 3-4 times well with running water.
  • Soak the sabudana in water for 1-1 1/2 hours. Drain the water soak overnight.
  • In the morning if you find the sabudana dry, stir it with spoon or fork and add 2-3 tbsp water.
  • Mix well and keep it aside.
  • Heat ghee in a pan. Add cumin seeds. Let it pop up.
  • Add green chillies, soaked sabudana, roasted Peanut powder, salt, and sugar. Mix well.
  • Cook on medium heat for 3-4 minutes.
  • Cover and cook for another 3-4 minutes. Remove the lid and mix well.
  • Add coriander leaves. Mix well. You can add lemon juice if you like.
  • Sabudana khichadi is already.
  • It tastes good as it is or goes fantastic with curd.
