Ingredients

  • 1 cup Curd
  • 1/2 tsp Powdered sugar
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp Ginger green chili paste
  • 1 1/2 cups Boiled rice
  • Finely chopped Coriander leaves
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Hing / Asafetida
  • Curry leaves
  • 1 or 2 Dried red chilies

Instructions

  • Take curd in a bowl. Add powdered sugar, salt, and ginger-green chili paste.
  • Beat the curd until it becomes nice and creamy.
  • Add boiled rice and finely chopped coriander. Mix well.
  • For tadka, heat up oil in a tadka pan. You also can use ghee for tadka.
  • Add mustard seeds and let them pop up.
  • Add cumin seeds, hing, curry leaves and dried red chillies.
  • Mix well and add this tadka in rice.
  • Mix well and dahi bhat is already.
  • This rice remains good for 1-2 days.
