Basundi is very popular milk based Maharashtrian Dessert. This is prepared by boiling the milk till the time it reduces its half and this takes long time. This Instant Basundi is so easy and is ready withing 30 mts and tastes just yummmmy! There are several versions of basundi, just make this basic basundi and add the flavors of your choice or fruits of your choice just before serving the basundi.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Whole Milk
  • 12 oz can of Sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 14 oz can of Evaporated milk
  • Assorted nuts
  • 1/4 tsp Cardamom powder

Instructions

  • First add whole milk in to a pan and bring it to boil.
  • Then add nuts, condensed milk, evaporated milk, stir well and boil for 10 mts.
  • Add grated Khoya, mix well and cook for another 10 mts.
  • Garnish with cardamom powder.

Notes

  • Once basundi cools down completely it would turn more thick and condensed. Refrigerate it overnight for better texture.
