Ingredients

  • 250 gm Strained yogurt
  • 250 gm Powdered sugar
  • Mango pulp
  • 1/2 tsp Cardamom powder
  • Nutmeg powder
  • 3~4 tsp Milk

Instructions

  • Take chakka or strain yogurt in a strainer and strain it really well into a bowl.
  • You can use a food processor or blender for this step.
  • You also can strain it through Puran yantra.
  • Add powdered sugar, milk, and mix well.
  • Beat the mixture really good for about 4-5 minutes until it becomes nice and fluffy.
  • You can use a hand blender for this purpose.
  • This is a shrikhand base. Peel the mangoes and cut them into small pieces.
  • Transfer them into a blender jar and blend into a fine puree.
  • No need to add any milk or water while blending.
  • Add mango pulp and mix well.
  • You can decide the quantity of mango pulp according to your taste.
  • Try to use Alphanso mango as it has nice color and consistency.
  • Add cardamom powder and nutmeg powder and mix well.
  • Garnish with a few pistachios and amrakhand is already.
  • Amrakhand goes well with hot, fluffy puris.

Notes

  • You can add different flavors into the shrikhand base and make a variety of shrikhand.
  • You can use strain Greek yogurt for a while and use it as chakka.
