Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup Water
  • 1/4 cup Yogurt
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
  • pinch of Hing
  • 1 tsp grated Ginger
  • 1 tsp finely chopped Green Chilli
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 4 to 5 Curry Leaves
  • 1/2 cup Rice Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Sugar
  • Coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  • Take 1 1/2 cup water and to that add 1/4 cup yogurt and mix well.
  • Heat oil, after oil, is hot add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, hing, and let all sizzle up.
  • Add grated ginger, finely chopped green chillies, curry leaves, turmeric powder and cook for a minute.
  • Add buttermilk to above tempering.
  • Add salt and sugar to taste in buttermilk, mix well and bring that to aboil over medium-high heat.
  • Add rice flour all at once, mix well, cover, and cook covered for 5 minutes.
  • Garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves.
  • Serve hot with a dollop of ghee on the top!
