Pani puri.. All time favorite street food. We all are fond of pani puri. It is easier to buy packet of readymade puri for pani puri and make it. But advantage of making puri at home is it is all fresh and we know what all is being used to make puri. So here is recipe for puri for pani puri.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Fine rava
  • 1/4 cup Maida
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  • In a bowl, take rava. Add maida and salt. Mix well.
  • Add water and mix well. Don’t add any more water. Make dough of it. The dough is already.
  • Cover and let it rest for just 7-8 minutes.
  • Knead the dough once more. Take small ball out of it and keep rest of the dough covered.
  • Heat up oil in a pan for frying puris.
  • Roll out a chapatti as thin as possible.
  • After rolling out chapatti, make small puris with the help of cookie cutter or lid of any jar.
  • Remove excess flour and puris are ready for frying.
  • Oil should not be too hot while frying the puri. Drop one puri at a time into hot oil, press a little. It will puff up.
  • Deep fry the puris on medium to high heat.
  • Once puri gets deep golden color from one side, flip over with the help of fork.
  • When puris get deep golden color from both sides, take them out.
  • Drain excess oil and put them on tissue paper.
  • The puris are nice and crunchy. Puris for pani puri is already.
  • Let’s make pani puri. Take boiled and mashed peas, finely chopped coriander and onion.
  • Take one puri and break it at the center.
  • Add mashed peas and onion.
  • Either dip the puri in teekha and khatta meetha pani or add it with the help of spoon to puri. Pani puri is already.
  • You can use these puris to make panu puri, shev potato dahi puri (spdp).
  • If some of puris don’t puff up use them to make papadi chat.
