Presenting an easy recipe to make custard powder at home. The process is so simple that you shall never ever buy a pack of custard powder.

Ingredients
For Making Custard Powder:
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1/4 cup Milk powder
- 1/4 cup Cornflour
- A pinch of yellow food color (Optional)
- 2 drops Vanilla essence
For Making Fruit Custard:
- 2 cups Whole milk
- 3 tbsp Custard powder
- Diced Apples
- Grapes
- Pomegranate
- Banana
Instructions
For Making Custard Powder:
- In a blender, pot takes sugar and blend it.
- Add milk powder and cornflour. Add food color.
- You can skip the food color if you don’t like it.
- Add vanilla essence. You also can use vanilla pods.
- Blend the mixture again.
- Homemade vanilla custard powder is already.
- Store the powder in a jar with a tight-fitting lid.
For Making Fruit Custard:
- Heat up milk in a pan. Don’t boil the milk.
- Take custard powder into a bowl. When milk is enough hot, add 1/4 cup milk in custard powder.
- Stir immediately so that no lumps of custard powder are formed.
- When custard powder is dissolved, pour the mixture slowly into hot milk.
- Keep on stirring continuously.
- Keep on stirring while the milk is boiling to avoid lump formation.
- Cook on medium heat for about 7-8 minutes.
- To check if the custard is ready, dip a spoon into the custard.
- If the spoon gets a good coating of custard, then it means it is ready.
- Turn off the gas. Chill the custard in the freeze for about an hour.
- Add apple, grapes, pomegranate, and banana. You can add fruits of your choice.
- Mix well. Fruit custard is already.
Notes
- When custard cools down, it thickens up more.
- Do not add any citrus fruits or fruits those release more moisture like watermelon.
