Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups Wheat flour
- Salt to taste
- Water
- Oil
Instructions
- Take wheat flour into a dish and add salt.
- Mix well and add a little water at a time and knead dough.
- The consistency of dough should be semi stiff, not as thick as puri or as thin as chapatti.
- Apply a little oil to the dough and transfer it into a bowl.
- Cover and give it a resting time of about 30 minutes.
- Take the dough out and knead it once more.
- Make medium size balls from the dough.
- Take one ball and make it smooth.
- Dip it in dry flour and roll a chapatti of about 4-5”.
- Apply oil and spread it all over the chapatti.
- Fold chapatti into half and again spread oil.
- Fold the chapatti again into quarter and seal the paratha.
- Dip paratha again into dry flour and roll it in triangular shape paratha. It should be little thick.
- Heat up a pan. Transfer the paratha on the pan and roast for about a minute.
- When small bubbles begin to appear, flip paratha over.
- Spread oil on this side and flip it over again.
- Spread oil on other side as well as roast it really good from both sides.
- When paratha is nice and crispy, take it out into a dish.
- Paratha is already. It goes well with any gravy sabzi or curry or non veg like chicken, mutton.
- You can make 5 parathas from 1 1/2 cups wheat flour.
